Productivity and Book Study!

I have been on a roll.
I may or may not have stayed up until 10am this morning (yes, all night).
But how could I stop when I was on such an awesome productivity streak?!

I still have some laminating to do before taking pictures.
The fruit of my efforts will be posted tomorrow night, or that's the plan.

Quick post for today.
I know I don't have many followers, but I have a few friends who are teachers who read my blog. So I wanted to share this wonderful blog book study for anyone who may be interested:

We Read, We Blog, We Teach

It's for the Daily 5/CAFE in the intermediate to upper grades. Awwwwwww yeah!!

  1. I just found your blog from your post on We Read, We Blog, We Teach. Your comment about the Daily 5 sounds exactly like my thinking. I have taught ELA to 4th grade for 9 years and just found out this year that I will also teach SS. I am thinking of using lap books to introduce SS topics to students or Notebooking. Not sure yet, but I plan to give students a quick mini lesson and then make their activity part of their weekly center to complete. Hope you will check out my 4th grade blog! Also if you are interested in doing a Mystery Skype next year, send me an email so we can set a date.

  2. Hey there, thanks for checking out my blog!

I think I've decided to go the notebooking route for SS. Honestly, I'm a huge fan of interactive notebooks and plan to one for ELA as well. It's so difficult for me to plan all of this during this particular summer - since it will be my first year teaching, I don't even know what my schedule will look like! It's kind of crazy trying to plan while being completely in the dark, tee hee! I definitely like your plan of doing a mini lesson and then incorporating that into the weekly centers, that's the direction I'm leaning toward as well. :)

Love your blog! I'm your newest follower!!
